Takaki Yuya's Gokusen Troubles // Actress Internet Popularity Ranking

Jun 11, 2008 03:14

Hey! Say! JUMP member Takaki Yuya is feeling a bit down these days. Things aren't going too well for him over on the set of Gokusen. He has been criticized for his acting and as a result his lines have been cut.

A watcher of the drama had this to say: "He's acting as part of a class but he's a main character. Since he plays a delinquent there are a lot of tense scenes but the moment he opens his mouth the atmosphere changes completely."
This person is reading my mind. It's amazing. I don't mean to pick on the kid but when he speaks, I feel taken out of the moment.

Continuing on: "On top of being monotone, he doesn't say his lines clearly so a lot of times I can't make out what he says."

Anyway back to Takaki. The internet world doesn't care for him much either. Right after an episode airs many will go online for much criticizing of his performance. People are more concerned with him than the actual content of the drama.
Well, let's be real here. Gokusen has no content. Boy(s) gets into random fight. Teacher saves boy(s). The end. Insert an abandoned warehouse in there somewhere and you got yourself a drama.
But why break tradition? Keep putting Johnny's in, keep the storylines the same. It's a formula that, strangely enough, continues to work. But no Gokusen 4, please. The cow is dry, stop trying to milk it.
Also, they should get with friends and mock it while they watch. That's what I do. More fun that way.

It seems Takaki's been in trouble since the beginning. After the first ep aired they quickly started making changes to the scripts and cut his lines. They told the jimusho they wanted to make him more cool and reserved, but it was really about his acting. Needless to say Takaki doesn't feel too good about it all.

Well, what can I say. Maybe he can't peform well with all that make up on. If it's that distracting to me as a viewer I can only imagine how it's affecting him. But seriously, Takaki has a lot of improving to do. But he can learn.
