Ever wondered which Johnny's are cheapskates? Me neither, but here you go! Below are details of what they do, or don't do, with their money.
Nakai Masahiro of SMAP
His means of saving money is... not spending it. What a novel idea. Well, they go on to say he's not the type to have a lot of possessions and the farthest he'll go when spending is for like a car. So, what, someone gives him all those hats? He doesn't indulge in lavish meals and before he goes on a trip he unplugs everything. Nakai is green! He can save about 10,000 yen a month on living expenses this way. Ah, there's the hat money. For clothes he buys everything on sale. He's very careful with his things and keeps them for a long time. For example, his 10 year old cell phone which, when it broke, he spent 40,000 yen to get repaired. On the other side of this, he loves to give presents, so he's not your typical old miser.
Domoto Koichi of KinKi Kids
Koichi likes to take things from hotels back home with him. He loves notepads in case he gets songwriting fever and needs to jot something down. He uses every drop of shampoo, which: fine, but I guess they're implying when it appears to be empty he's still squeezing the hell out of the bottle. He reuses ice..? I feel like something is missing here... He puts it back in the freezer? He gets himself another drink? What? Lastly, when he goes shopping he gets only what he went there for and nothing more.
Ayukawa Taiyou of Ya-Ya-yah
Instead of throwing away his old underwear, he turns them into cleaning cloths. How resourceful.
Nagase Tomoya of TOKIO
He always gets treated. Well, okay then. What about dates with kouhai?
Ninomiya Kazunari of Arashi
Another one who gets treated. When the group goes out to eat he doesn't have his wallet. Saving is one of Nino's hobbies. He's always managed the houshold account book and lately has been saving 500 yen coins. His collection is worth about 63,000 yen.
Kokubun Taichi of TOKIO
He's always been an expert getting people to treat him to meals (oh really? well, I doubt I could say no to such a cutie), but after some pestering from the ever adept Ninomiya, Taichi took him out for yakiniku.
Sakamoto Masayuki of V6
If it looks like it's going to rain he'll take his car out for a drive. "The rain washes it, then I wipe it dry and it's clean." Free car wash! Haha. Seems more like laziness to me.
Inohara Yoshihiko & Morita Go of V6
When on photoshoots if any of the clothes tickles their fancy they'll buy them... except socks. They'll go home with them still on. I'm sure they conveniently "forgot" to take them off. Inocchi, does your wife know about this?
Miyake Ken of V6
When going out to eat alone, he doesn't spend more than 1000 yen. He saves the rest of his money.
Well, wasn't that exciting.
