My fiance's mom was telling me about Black Eyed Peas and luck.. our tradition is pork and sourkraut (sp*) for luck... the pork isn't bad though, its the kraut.. blah!! lol

Eww... I don't like either one~ I'd be screwed!!! I might could manage the pork but not the kraut either LOL I thought everyone ate the Black Eyed Peas though?!?! It's so weird the different traditions just here in the States.

lol I've never heard of black eyed peas,, thats really weird.. I have to ask my parents about that now and ask to see if they knew about that one.. I don't like either as well, but I mix a cpl stains of Kraut in my mashed potatoes and I'm good lol

I'm with you on the weather. We weren't as lucky to get snow here in Austin but that 30 degree chill sure did feel good. I hope it gets cold here again soon.

Yeah, I know anywhere in TX is lucky to get weather, well except for maybe the Panhandle. But I can't believe how unusually warm it is this year. I guess maybe global warming really is coming- who knows! But I do hope it gets at least a little colder than staying in the 70's!

I'm originally from El Paso and the winter's there are much colder than out here. I got to see many snow days up there. I miss the cold winters in El Paso, especially the fact that my kids will miss out on that pretty snow. Oh well, for now, I'm stuck in Austin.
