"I grant absolution to your soul. May you rest in peace. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."

Gently, Father Andrew laid Selene's body neatly on the ground, folding her hands serenely over her stomach and brush her eyelids closed.

"I hardly think that was necessary," he commented to his co-patriot, Father Morgan. It pained Andrew to see so much bloodshed outside the reassuring walls of his monastery where he'd spent most of the last ten years. However, curiousity had roused him from his peaceful life. Father Morgan had required someone who had an in-depth knowledge of vampires and lycans and actually believed in their exsistence. Father Andrew had fit the bill.

However, now the priest was starting to regret this a little. So many creatures in pain, and all because he'd been the one to find Ordoghaz...

The gun retort so close by nearly made him jump out of his skin. He leapt to his feet as Father Morgan reeled back a little reflexively from the sharp sound. But there was no blood, no cries of pain. In fact, as far as Andrew could see, there was no bullet anywhere.

Fighting in the pushes next to them drew his attention then, and he gasped. He couldn't help but stare curiously at the lean creature. Unlike the young woman, Selene, this one's undead nature was evident in its flashing blue eyes and bared fangs.

Animatedly, he scribbled notes on the pad of paper he carried. "Astounding.."
