I've never been a huge fan of bikers sporting clothing, tattoos, patches, medals, or other accoutrements evocative of Nazi Germany; but I saw one such over the Memorial Day weekend just past that really made me scratch my head.
I saw a black biker wearing a
Stahlhelm.
*Pause*
A black man -- wearing a motorcycle helmet modeled after a helmet that is most closely associated with Nazi Germany's Wehrmacht (well, specifically the Heer, or army).
I don't think that he had any
SS runes on him, but I probably shouldn't assume that he didn't either.
Would he have worn a jacket or vest with the
Stars and Bars sewn onto the back? Surely not -- but then again, I wonder.
History, people. Be careful of wearing something just because you think it looks cool.
