I've been listening to
KEXP again, and have heard a few cuts off of the new album from My Morning Jacket, Evil Urges. One track I'm liking more than not is "Librarian," a kind of shoe-gazer erotic love ballad.
EXCEPT for the fact that the chorus goes, in part, "Take off those glasses / And let down your hair / For me."
Are.
They.
CRAZY?!?
The glasses sliding down the bridge of the nose, the hair pulled back in a bun or chignon, are precisely what makes librarians -- uhh, lady librarians -- so gosh-darned hawwwwtt. Glasses should never be removed, never, and the hair should be unbound only for washing purposes.
Maaaan. Talk about being like Derek de Lint's lame-ass character in The Unbearable Lightness of Being. You know: the hormonally deficient feeb who didn't like Lena Olin's character wearing a bowler hat with her lingerie. Putz.
