[A/N] There are few things I want to set straight:

1) This is a fiction, so don't expect it to be real and all (note the m-preg tag lol) and so, gay marriage is openly accepted in this, do I make myself clear? :D

2) I changed the song from "The Arrival" to "Canon in D Major" just because... I feel like it. Not important, but just wanting you guys to know the change in the song choice. HEE :3

3) Maybe you can imagine this as you read? :D

But make Jaejoong look less-feminine compared to this :3
4) Nothing at 4, just please enjoy! ^o^

Chapter 3

The sound of Pachelbel's “Canon in D Major” echoed throughout the entire garden chapel. It was such a beautiful morning, a perfect day for a wedding. Yunho was standing nervously on the altar; small visible sweats were forming on his forehead as glances were exchanged between him and the priest. Yoochun, his best man, stood loyally beside him and tried his best to be calm as well, holding the wedding bands carefully on both of his palms.

Yunho felt numb. His whole body suddenly felt so foreign to him and his stomach was completely tied in knots. As he waits for the longest ever walk of his bride, Yunho fiddled with his fingers and bit the lower part of his lips. Once a while, he would glance towards his right for moral support from his best man and other times he would just stare at the aisle, waiting anxiously for his love to walk down it.

When a figure suddenly came into the picture, Yunho darted his gaze on the ground almost immediately. He inhaled a huge amount of air and exhaled as slowly as he possibly could, wanting to make sure that he was still breathing and that this wasn't just a dream he made up in his mind. This was real. He was about to get married and start a new life with the woman he loves the most; the ever so gorgeous model, Natasha Kim.

However, when he raised his head up after a few encouraging moments later, Yunho was completely gutted and shocked as the image became clearer and clearer in his vision. Yes, the bride was slowly heading straight towards the altar but no, it wasn't exactly the bride… it wasn't the bride that Yunho had been waiting for.

“… What the fuck.”

“Hyung! Quick! What are we going to do?” Junsu shouted across the room. The song that was beaming throughout the garden chapel was their cue to think faster and possibly to find a way to resolve this bride-less’ wedding matter.

“What do you mean, what are we going to do? I’m going in,” Jaejoong said as he shot a knowingly look towards his Head Chef.

Jaejoong had thought it through. If he could just go up there, pretended to be Yunho's bride just for the sake of showing up, and Yunho would just say ‘no’ later on, it would be okay, wouldn't it? It wasn't as if he was selfish to think about his own self. In fact, it was more to making sure that the client-Yunho, that is-would get the best service from Cojjee on his important day above all. In terms of making sure he would get his unforgettable wedding, well… that shouldn't really be a problem now.

“Boss… you’re not thinking of putting this on, are you?” Changmin finally voiced out, pointing towards the wedding dress hang neatly on the mannequin. He pinched the fabric a little out of curiosity and cringed just as fast, imagining how his superior would look like in this possibly thousands dollar wedding dress.

“Don’t kid around, Changmin-ah. I’ll never fit in a dress made for a size-2 model even if I starved myself for a year,” Jaejoong rolled his eyes as he walked towards an empty make-up table at the corner of room.

He stared at the reflection in the mirror for a brief moment before ordering Junsu to take the bouquet of white roses left beside the mannequin.

“Ne, hyung,” Junsu quickly skipped across the room, grabbed the bouquet and handed it to Jaejoong.

He took a step back to examine his superior and somehow felt a tad bit relieved because even though today wasn't supposed to end up like this, they couldn't have found a better substitute for the bride other than Jaejoong himself. He was always on the bench for any other weddings but in this particular one; he was going to be the main character instead.

Jaejoong took one last deep breath and closed his eyes shut, as if meditating for a while. When he was sure enough he could muster up all the confidence in him to walk down the aisle, Jaejoong finally turned around and marched towards the exit door. He was ready than ever, determined to make things right-if he could just prevent Yunho from being humiliated in his own wedding, that would be more than enough.

“Boss, at least wear the veil,” Changmin managed to suggest as he threw that said garment towards Jaejoong, receiving the older latter to flick his middle finger out of annoyance.

“… aish, this kid!”

*

Halfway through the aisle, Jaejoong could practically felt the burning stares from his groom all the way to the altar. He could hear whispers among the guests as well, most of them being brushed off at the back of his mind, though. Yoochun had told him beforehand, most of the invited guests were not even close to neither Yunho nor Natasha, because of some complications-one being the fact that both families objected their decision to get married. That pretty much explained why more than half of the guests in the venue were there just for the sake of attending the wedding. Nothing more. Heck, they probably did not even notice the immensely obvious change of plans.

When he finally got to the spot on the altar where he would finally face Yunho, Jaejoong felt like passing out, as if the air he breathed wasn't quite enough to pump blood throughout his system. He looked down at the bouquet of white roses in his grip, unable to look up to meet Yunho in the eyes. As soon as the priest started talking, though, he was forced to look up to a very dumbfounded Yunho and a confused best man at his side.

The following conversation between the real groom and the con bride went on in such soft whispers to avoid the priest from noticing the fact that they were actually conversing with each other.

[“What happened?”] Yunho raised a brow, wanting some sort of explanations from the shorter man. It didn't bother him the fact that the priest was only inches away from them, completely sucked in reading some holy quotes from the Bible. Yoochun-seeing how things were right now-took advantage by leaning in closer to Yunho, as if wanting to know what was this all about as well.

[“Look. I’m sorry this happened but… she took off!”] Jaejoong shrugged his shoulders as his eyes widened, trying to make his point across. He waited for the other to snort, to hiss his “I don’t believe you!” or “She wouldn't do that!” but nothing came out of Yunho’s mouth.

What Jaejoong saw after that literally broke his heart.

The look in Yunho’s eyes was so distant- almost lifeless. So much pain portrayed in it and yet it was as if he had somehow expected this hideous outcome in the first place at the very back of his mind. He was determined more than ever to marry the love of his life, Natasha Kim, but he would be a total and complete fool if he was 100% sure that this was even going to work out. His insecurities were way up high in the beginning and up until now but Yunho would never want to admit it, not to Natasha and not to anyone else. He had mentally hoped that somehow, anyhow, Natasha would see just how bad he wanted her in his life. And by the look of how things ended up today, she obviously failed to do so… and it broke Yunho’s heart into pieces.

At this point, the priest had already moved on to the part where he would finally wed the couple in front of him.

“Dearly beloved, we are gathered together here in the sight of God…,” the priest started off.

Jaejoong was helplessly trying to catch Yunho’s attention after the latter was pretty much spacing out the whole time and when their eyes finally met, Jaejoong immediately mouthed, “Say ‘no’, okay?” to which Yunho did not reply but he only let out a small smile to carve on his lips. He looked downright sad and Jaejoong hated that, in some ways it bugged the hell out of him over how calm Yunho was actually trying to be.

“Jung Yunho, wilt thou have Natasha Kim-”

“Uhh, Father… it’s Jaejoong. Jaejoong Kim… I mean, Kim Jaejoong,” Jaejoong had to cut in in order to avoid this holy process to come out as a joke. If he was going to save this wedding, he might as well do it properly.

“What?” the priest asked, obviously wondering why the sudden change until he finally saw the look of what seemed to be the bride now. With a simple ‘ah’, the priest tried once again.

“Jung Yunho, wilt thou have Kim Jaejoong to thy wedded wife, to live together after God's ordinance in the holy estate of Matrimony? Wilt thou love him, comfort him, honor, and keep him in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, keep thee only unto him, so long as ye both shall live?”

The shorter man looked down to his feet, waiting for the answer he expected the groom to say. And after a long, torturing silent moment later, Yunho finally said it.

“I will.”

The bouquet of white roses that Jaejoong had gripped wholeheartedly all this while slipped effortlessly to the ground. He raised his gaze and immediately met with Yunho’s doe eyes and before he could say anything towards the latter, Yunho mouthed back, “You do it.”

If Yunho did not smile ever so sweetly after he said that, Jaejoong would most probably think the latter was only trying to make him look like the bad guy instead, rejecting the groom in such a wedding. But now it seemed as if Yunho was the one who wanted to save Jaejoong from a humiliation he obviously brought upon himself… and Jaejoong was completely gutted, somewhat confused and a tad bit touched-well, maybe a little bit more.

“Kim Jaejoong-,” the priest paused and shot a glance towards the bride, as if asking a confirmation if he had uttered the correct name.

Jaejoong gave a slight nod.

“Kim Jaejoong, wilt thou have Jung Yunho to thy wedded husband, to live together after God's ordinance in the holy estate of Matrimony? Wilt thou love him, comfort him, honor, and keep him in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, keep thee only unto him, so long as ye both shall live?”

It took him a while for Jaejoong to digest what was really going on. Everything felt so surreal that it was making him sick to his stomach. He contemplated as to what he should answer to that dreaded question but as soon as he looked up and saw the look on Yunho’s face, Jaejoong knew there was only one answer for him to say.

“I will.”

With Yoochun handing out the wedding bands for Yunho and Jaejoong to take, Yunho slipped the band to Jaejoong’s ring finger (surprisingly, it fits) and the other latter did the same, almost unable to stop his own self from shaking in the process. Their eyes locked for a moment-a moment where a thousand emotions were exchanged between them and everything else around them turned to a complete blur. The only thing that was crystal clear in their vision was the image of each other’s. They stayed just like that for a while until the priest finally interrupted them.

“You may now kiss the bride.”

Wait, what?

Hearing that, Jaejoong’s knees instantly went weak as he shook his head vigorously, eyes still locking to that of Yunho’s. Of course, his main intention was to save Yunho from being humiliated but it must have slipped through his mind that it would involve kissing… with another man.

“NO YOU MAY NOT!” Jaejoong tried to hiss as quietly as he could but it came out somewhat loud that even his dongsaengs sitting at the front row could hear him and it made Yunho chuckle lightly.

Jaejoong prayed under his breath when Yunho began to take small, shy steps towards him. His eyes were already shut closed when Jaejoong felt soft, plump lips placed on top of his forehead, so gentle that it almost felt like feathers. He was about to crack into a sweet smile but just as fast, Jaejoong felt something else against his right cheek- a wet watery liquid. He fluttered open his eyes and that was when he saw the image he could never erase in his mind, even if he desperately wanted to.

“… don’t cry.”

TBC.
