[Well, someone happens to be taking his Slowbro for a very leisurely walk. But before he spots Maria, he spots a very familiar Slowpoke. Because what other Slowpoke has headphones?]

[But with no sign of Sakutaro and only spotting Maria -- well, time to investigate. He'll be calling out from behind.]

[ She turns around, calling out his name before she even spots him like that. She then quickly runs over (the Slowpoke is a bit slower, slowly going after her). ]

Can you maybe help Maria out?

[He kneels down to her level, grinning.]

Sure - what's up, Maria-chan?

Maria's looking for Sakutaro!

[ She nods, somewhat determined, before holding up her drawing. Even though Yosuke obviously knows what Sakutaro looks like. ]

Haven't been able to find him since yesterday, uu-.

Huh, Sakutaro-kun? [His eyes widen -- well, that explains why she's walking around with Slowpoke Yosuke. Which... is never a good thing.]

Did you try finding him on the network? Maybe he got lost or something.

[ She shakes the drawing a little. ]

Maria showed this to everyone over the network.. Sakutaro would have said 'here I am, Maria!' if he saw it, right?

Oh... ye-yeah, I'm pretty sure. I mean, he's not the type to want anyone to worry. [Frowns a little.] Is, uh... Yosuke the only Pokémon of his you've seen since you last saw him?

Just Yosuke was left behind in the room that morning, uu-, so Maria decided to take him with her so he wouldn't be lonely.

[ she nods. ]

Good idea. I'm... sure he's happy about it. [Not that Yosuke can tell what any Slowpoke/bro is ever feeling. Jiraiya, in the meanwhile, will be going to slow-talk at his child.]

[ For a moment she watches the Slowpoke and Slowbro being.. well, slow together, but then she somewhat curiously looks at the boy. ]

Uu-.. What are you doing, Yosuke?

I wanna check something real quick - you know, something that may help.

[He's a bit hesitant to do this in front of Maria, but nonetheless, he does it, signaling up what should be Sakutaro's number.]

[But all he gets is: "We're sorry. The number you are trying to reach is no longer in service. Please hang up and try again." Yosuke freezes, lips curving into a frown. Crap.]

[ She doesn't say anything, instead she stares at Yosuke. Apparently she doesn't get the implications of all this, since she still looks more clueless than actually sad. ]

And..? What did the thing Yosuke checked say?

It's... [There's no easy way to say this. Well, so much for any tact he may have learned ever.] His gear number is gone, Maria-chan. Which means... well, I think Sakutaro-kun was taken back to where he came from.
