Written quickly, just out of boredom. Really only a single point to this, read below to find out what.
Edited one word out, as I tried to keep it as neutral as possible, but missed one. Someone else caught it and let me know. Actually, make that two. Both are fixed.
"Fucking fast food commercials! I swear they've got some of that subliminal shit going on. Where's my dinner?"
"Are you going on about that again? Why in the world do you keep watching that trash? God gave you a remote for a reason, you idiot."
"God didn't do shit to give me this remote. That boy Tommy Edison did it when he figured out electricity. Now where the hell is dinner?"
"Enough already, I got the helper on now, just eat some twinkies or something until it's done. There's a few unopened ones around the couch somewhere."
A quick rattle of knocking shook the door.
"If it's your worthless brother, tell him to GO THE FUCK AWAY!"
"He's not getting out for another two months and you know it. Just get the fucking door, I'm cooking."
"Christ, you're lucky the cops stopped me last time. Making me answer the door when you know it ain't for me."
"Well who is it?"
"Yeah, whatever. It's just some stupid package."
"Well open it!"
"It's for that fuck of a brother of yours, I'm tossing it."
"Open it first, god dammit."
"Shut your mouth, I'm not having any of his shit in my house."
"Just open it. What if it's something he needs?"
"Fuck what he needs. Get offa me, you bitch!"
"Just give me the box then. What the fuck made me marry you?"
"Me saying yes when drunk."
"You fucking asshole, give it to me."
"No, and now what the fuck is that? And what fucking now? The helper is burning. Get your ass in that kitchen and fix it before I get really mad."
To me, this conjures not a specific person, but a specific smell. What smell do you think of when reading it? As another note, what information is inferred just from the exchange? Why am I giving assignments in my LJ? Cause, it helps me see if what I think the writing portrays is the same as what other people think.
