The Daily Show is repeats all week this week, but there are some good ones online on video. Here are some of my favorite (warning: not for dial-up users! - also, links give you a new window):
The Origin of the Decider! - good Bush satire & for super hero comic fans
Fox in the Henhouse - A few items, but the highlight is "Tony Snow is affable and empathetic. It's as if they've hired a human being to do a robot's job." "Hug the Tar Baby"?! What the heck! You probably all read about it in the papers, but then maybe not since it was his first day on the job & supposedly that's the reason the reporters cut him some slack.
The Decider - another Bush satire with superhero comic.
Back in Black: Fundamentalists - "Religious fundamentalists have evolved, er, intelligently designed themselves over the years" Religious humor is my favorite
Headlines - Mexican Standoff - "Bush's immigration speech had something for the right, the left, the sci-fi nerds and fishermen." - I especially liked the shape of the Mexican border compared to Bush's approval rating. On the serious side, though, we looked at Bush's 5-point plan, this past weekend at Parlor Chat and it didn't look too bad.
I'll also repeat the ones I mentioned on
cheetahmaster's LJ last week.:
The War at Home - Rumsfeld lied - I love it when they show actual news clips of before and later to demonstrate how they lie.
Poll Smoking with Dave Gorman - They give a lot of credance to those numbers. One of the things they're good for is a laugh! "33% is more than enough to win an election..." Also, a comparison of Bush Jr. & his father's presidencies.
BTW, I finally got a paid subscription to LJ.
Edited June 5, 2006: The Daily Show programs about Bush as the Decider are no longer there. Some of the others are still there, but The War at Home is also gone. I wonder if it had to do with the actual clips of those politicians. Or if they were just too popular and couldn't keep up with the bandwidth.
