Dia de los Muertos & ancestors #justice #injustice
We celebrated Dia de los Muertos at my church today - a remembering of family members who've died. We're a wonderful multicultural congregation.
Later I saw this video which has a connection through race understanding and read the description:
There will come a day that all things made unequal will again become balanced. Don't you hear our ancestors talking to us family, They are calling us loud and clear, let's not make them wait anymore! WAKE UP AND TELL EVERYONE A SHIFT IS TURNING IN THE UNIVERSE...ASE!!
Even though some people think of Maryland as the "north", I know people from southern Maryland who grew up just like this lady, though they didn't have the experience of suddenly knowing as a child. They're still in a process of understanding. Actually, even as a New Yorker, I've found the subtle things we experienced growing up and know that no matter how much I try, there are things in my subconscious that will always be there.
