Flu time; Watching Phoebe in Wonderland & having a good cry

Oct 01, 2010 11:53

I have a bad cold/flu today, so I'm spending it resting and watching movies. I enjoyed "Hors de prix" ("Priceless") - it wasn't fantastic, but it made me laugh and laughter is supposed to be good for your health. Whereas, I really loved "Phoebe in Wonderland", though it made me cry.

"Phoebe in Wonderland" I think is a good movie for anyone who has ever had an imagination, parents (especially if you ever cared too much about being a parent and blamed yourself for problems your children have), teachers (especially if you ever were concerned that you weren't making a difference and want to), anyone who likes Alice in Wonderland and is mature enough to understand the symbolism, and anyone who has ever thought that life can be too much and not allow you to be yourself. Maybe I liked it because I'm sick and I've been all those things.

If you've seen "Phoebe in Wonderland", let me know what you thought about it.
