(no subject)
So... we've moved.
I'm not going to relive the hell of finding a new place, cleaning, painting, and then the actual moving by recapping it all here. Suffice it to say, it was hell that began in February, peaked in May, and now, today, with the last box unpacked, it's over, and Mike and I are owners of a nice little 4 bedroom townhome with two family rooms, 2 1/2 baths, and enough storage that I could finally get all my stuff that's been moldering in my parents' garage for the past 2 1/2 years.
This is good.
I found all my stories, and notes for stories that I've ever worked on for the past 20 years. I have a stack of recovered Hearts of Ice notes that's about 2 inches thick. I have artwork and Utukki notes. I have original stories and story outlines that I totally forgot about because I haven't looked at them in over a decade. I found printouts of stories that I thought irretrievably lost.
All of this makes me very happy.
I'm going to try to start writing again, now that things are finally settling back into a semblance of normal life. I don't know how successful I'll be, since the kids keep me pretty busy, but I'll try.
I'm also going to attempt to be more social, since even my best friends haven't heard much from me during this moving hell.
