When I married Mike, I kind of suspected that any children we might have would be smart, if only because Audrey, Cc and Michael are so brilliant. I'm pretty sure I've referred to them as "frighteningly intelligent" in previous LJ entries

If/when you start thinking about preschool, she sounds like she'd enjoy a Montesorri program. My son goes to a Montessori school, and it's a great program for those smart little cookies that are too smart for their parents' good. ;)

It's wonderful that you're recording her vocabulary. I did the same thing for my kids--kept a journal for each of them. Well, I wrote in Shannon's until she was about 5 and in Sean's until he was about 3.
If you ever have a boy don't be surprised if he's not as advanced at verbal skills. Maybe it's a myth that boys lag behind girls in that area but my kids certainly made the myth seem true. Shannon was a lot like Morganne and Sean couldn't even remember the letters of the alphabet after a year of kindergarten. And now he's way smarter than the rest of us!
