okay, time is rapidly running out and it is almost here!
any help will be greatly appreciated and rewarded!!
1)
hints so far-
how's your french?
SMS … Can you send and receive?
given that earlier they say:
Cell Phone (better yet a Palm): This will come in handy … bring one if you can! If you can’t send and receive text … find someone who can!
note- last year's hint was little known parks in greek town.
a good number of activity points were located in parks in the greek area of toronto.
so figuring out this will help a long way to going places on the day of.
2)
does anyone have bell mobility as their cell provider? one of the q's usually links to bell mobility, so help on that front would be appreciated
3)
computer savvy and ferreting out info on the web is also useful. we'll likely have one person playing central coordinator (wanna volunteer?)
--- weather is looking to be good (yay)
---i am thinking of the past suggestions about french, and the toronto french school is a likely hit i am suspecting.
---hearseboi- is doing the prereg with/at the running room a thought or even a possiblity? given our work schedules, i am not too sure- but asking anyway. also- you can do text on your phone, yes?
you don;t have to be in toronto to help, just like a good mental challenge. gil and i will be running around and appreciate all the help we can get in keeping doubling back and duplication to a minimum
this is a scavenger hunt/ marathon that runs from 10-4pm across many parts of the city. one has to successfully complete ten out of 15-16 challenge points. last year we got 8. shooting for 10 this year. underwater hockey, and other antics were encountered. at one point we put up a tent, and then had to exchange clothing... which was highly amusing.
thanks to all. i should try to sleep. we're switching computer systems at work, and training is finishing tomorrow.
