Sometimes they blur and blend too much. I love Esme, but I do not madly adore her yet. Even as she makes up her room and has her own opinions on everything. Sometimes she's too calm and easy going, especially compared to the other voices in my head. She far gentler (maybe the term I'm looking for here is passive?) in many ways than Jean ever was and Jean was my benchmark comparison for her at the beginning.
I do my best not to step on her. And to try not to let my other head voice, the head voice of the moment, of the year, trample my walking with her, the threads and oom's I do for her.
