As many of you might see, there are tons of trailers parked on the side of the streets on the St. George Campus. Don't worry, it's just a movie crew shooting a movie with Samuel L. Jackson. Snakes on a Plane 2?
I'm guessing you're in first year. This is a common sight around campus, and downtown Toronto. There is almost always something being filmed. So I don't think that too many people are saying WTF. ;)
I actually ran into him (like, literally ran into him) a while back when they were filming some part of The Man at Varsity Stadium.
Another anecdote: someone I knew was on the same plane as him (har har no snakes) and approached him to thank him for all the great work he does at the U.N. When SJ asked wtf he was talking about, he said "Aren't you Kofi Annan?"
it's a movie called 'jumper' and hayden christensen is in it too. they were filming in peterborough a couple weeks ago. made a lot of george street look like seattle. ooo i saw hayden do a scene. *not actually excited about that* he is smaller than i thought.
Peterborough?! I'm from around there!! Wow! I will make sure to see the movie and to brag that it was filmed at our school. I can totally picture Samuel wearing a U of T hoodie.
you know what i hated about being back in peterborough this summer? how when they were filming this thing, the local media when nuts over it, and everyday there was an article about how "OMG A MOVIE DOWNTOWN WITH FAMOUS PEOPLE OMG". I think it was a sign that i've shed my redneck beginings and becomes a true toronto snob.
Yea, but what else would they have talked about?! They recovered from the flood, jazz festival is over, the fish aren't extinct...sounds like journalism at its lamest.

I come from a town of 5000 people, so what's a novelty for me might not be for you. Case in point: high speed internet.

Exactly. Just saying that it's not going to be a novelty for most in the utoronto community, which is where you posted this.

I was thinking whether any of us would be lucky enough to spot him!
Where's Waldo? Where's Samuel?
