what a disappointing day.

i'm beginning to lose hope, in more things than i'd like. i shant mention them here, for that would depress all my readers. [HAH, what readers...] i prolly won't mention them anywhere other than a private entry.
so, here's the day's events in cliffnotes form.
was awaken [at 5am, i later came to know] by the earth shaking beneath me.
1st thought that ran through my head: what time is it?
2nd thought: why am i awake?
3rd thought: WHY IS EVERYTHING SHAKING?
4th thought: maybe i'm shaking myself.
5th thought: i'm dreaming.
6th thought: screw this, it MUST be a dream, or a vibrating bed that i didn't know i had. good night.
it didn't even occur to me until later that morning that it was, indeed, an actual noticeable earthquake that hit good ol' marietta, georgia. my mom and i had quite the amusing discussion about it in the car on the way to school.
get to school, and everyone's talking about the earthquake.
yes, so that was the daily amusement.
get to anthropology, and our buddy lynch drops the bomb to the tune of modern atlas due thursday, meaning i'm pulling an all nighter tomorrow night to do ALL of it.
i'm actually turning something in this time, w00t.
projects ----> DIEPLZKTHX.
ooo, i'm such a hax0r now. ?_?
did alright on the algebra test. only had trouble w/ #11. hah, bitch.
mmm, i got some flowers and stuck them in my hair during biology. we went outside and collected plants; it was so pretty out. yay for nice weather.
then when i got home, i passed out cuz i was beyond exhausted, even though i went to bed early the night before.
i got up at 7, and i walked into the kitchen.
me: "hey dad."
dad: "patty! where have you been? your mom just went out looking for you!"
me: "uh, up in my room. i've been home this whole time."
if the smarties had taken a second to either look for my bookbag sitting in the kitchen OR peeked a head in my room to see that i was sleeping, they would've saved themselves a lot of worry. grr, they ALWAYS do that and then blame it on me. assholes.
anyway, i quite literally rolled out of bed and we left for the award ceremony. i ended up tying for 3rd place in the prose category of the writing festival, EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T PROSE DUMBASSES.
i got a $10 gift certificate from barnes and noble. hoorah, i can buy a paper bag with their logo with that!
after that, we went and saw the gold company's cabaret. i'll tell you, there are some really talented people walking the halls of sprayberry.
i personally would love to be in gold company. i missed the auditions this year, but i wouldn't have been able to do it anyway since my schedule is absolutely full next year. maybe the year after next? ::shrug::
sigh. then i came home, and here i sit, sans dinner in my stomach therefore i am very hungry. however, i'm not gonna eat dinner, because it's bad to eat meals before bed. harumph. good night, you well-fed people.
