Venice beach, a whole week late.
so, we took our exchange student, Kosuke, to Venice Beach....
this is us in the backyard with Kosuke on an early weekend morning....
then, me and kosuke conquered Santa Monica and Venice Beach, with some help from my super cool dad!
Kosuke did old Muscle Beach like a pro on the obstacles...I was too short for that, alas!
We took a damn good stroll down the boardwalk, just taking in all the great atmosphere
...and had a little funky ass fun!
I showed him the beach and taught him some extra English
We saw the Arabic guitar man!!! I practically grew up with this man!! He's been on Venice Beach forever!
and then this is the coolest part - as the sun set, we noticed a large group out on the sand. so we went towards it and found this:
it was just a ring of people who all had drums and were banging to their own beat.
soooooo......we danced!!!
and note my big smile since i'm having moogoo fun and my fresh henna tat on my lower back. nice, yes?
we then got some starbucks and went home, but this is kosuke and his henna tat. it means "sky" in Japanese
it was just a tight ass day! i love Venice beach, and i get to go again this week!!!! yay!!! if you got a ride and ur free Thursday, then hit me up!
