1. I really, really hate the cold. Especially when it seeps into your bones and lasts for days, and the only thing that gets rid of it is a hot bath - but you have no bath to do that in. Combine that with cloudy weather and my mood won't rise above thinking everything sucks for daaaaays. (this does not stop me loving snow...I suppose it's the novelty.
2. For a lot of this trip I've missed my pup more than I have my mum. I suppose because one is just always affectionate and the other is pretty skilled at making me feel worse than I already do. Since she visited though I miss her too, I suppose a year away has given me more room to see her good points, and that I haven't exactly been without fault in our relationship.
3. I'm not sure what to do with my life. I'm halfway between the wannabee journalist who wanted to work for a broadsheet and save the world (and scorned more frivolous journalism) and the more materialistic cynic who thinks she'd actually be better at (and possibly have more fun) working in fashion journalism. Selfishly I just want to do which ever one will make me happier, but I'm still uncertain as to which one that is.
4. I'll miss Hortense, but right at the moment I can't imagine missing looking after Henri.
5. I want to go home before Christmas, but at the same time I feel like digging into this place with my fingers. It's going to be more than six years before I can get back, and I know I'll end up crying because I miss it here. I haven't cried once over missing Melbourne, just the people in it.
Well this has been pretty depressing. I tag....
