i dont feel very comfortable in my own neighborhood anymore.
my neighbors boyfriend got beat up by a gang of about 10-15 guys as they were walking out of the hosue to go to the store.
as a warning, if you happen to see a group about this size and description (they were teenagers of mixed races) be carefull.
there was also reports of an attack of some sort from the same description earlier today, and my neighbor saw a similar groiup walking down poleline about 5 days ago.
my dad has now put a whistle by the door and he has a bat ready (which i dont think is a very good idea) but anyway, we are all a little frazzled.
none of us realized what was going on for too long, we thought there was a party going on or soemthing. i've come up wiht three reasons that we didnt come out of our houses sooner.
they didnt yell help, only screamed
we are used to people yelling like happily
we all think of this as a safe neighborhood
that could have been anyone, they were just walking out of hte house at the time. we think it might be partly because he is hispanic but it is really scary for all of us
