Last night's game session saw the conclusion of my 20-year
Jhendor story arc. The world and humanity was saved, but not without significant personal loss to the heroes - they had to give up close personal friends, children, and in one-case even the newly wedded wife. I loved how the whole story arc came together in this last campaign; all the little pieces and puzzles moved into place and created a coherent whole.
The world was created in 1989 and I started the first campaign a year later when I moved to Stuttgart for university. It saw half a dozen campaigns and numerous independent adventures - all revolving (some more closely, some further away) around the Third Coming of Cold King and the children of the elements destined to stop him.
The world map of Jhendor was the first map I drew in Campaign Cartographer, and
its later iterations played no small part in myself getting involved with ProFantasy Software.
I'm a happy GM today.
