GenCon report

Aug 18, 2008 19:10

Well, I'm still on my way back home, but the three hour delay in Detroit gives me the opportunity for a few words on GenCon: It was a great show!

There so much interest, the four days went by quicker than ever be more. I was happy to introduce and welcome a lot of new faces into the Campaign Cartographer community. And seeing the familiar faces from previous years is always a treat. I wish I had more time for people like Steve Townshend, David Dow and the others I get to see only once per year. Unfortunately (or fortunately from the company's perspective), it is mostly too busy at the booth to spare more than a few minutes for chatting.

People were excited to see City Designer 3 in action and we had a lot more orders for it. Rest assured, once I'm home I'll be immediately back on finalizing the release. Using the beta version at the show also revealed a few small bugs, that I will have the opportunity to straighten out. We've also collected a few ideas and possible plans for the future, which I will be excited to share ... at the right time. ;)

See you all next year!
