I came up for the weekend (IL-71 is epic between Starved Rock and Ottawa). It was incredibly good timing because a lot of people that I haven't seen in months were all in town and getting together Friday night. Chad flew into town for a wedding, Leslie drove down from Minnesota, and Whoot took the train in from DeKalb. I met everyone downtown and proceeded to drink good, expensive beers for hours.
The next morning I woke up early (ugh) and rode my bike up to Wisconsin. I met Dan, Whoot, Leslie, and Tommy at Dan's Mom's condo and we spent the day drinking, eating junk food, and playing cards 'til 3 am. We got out on the lake, but the cool air and lack of sun ended that quickly.
I came back to my parents' today. About 5 minutes after I got in, Casey, Stella, and the girls walked in and we had lunch. I took a nap afterwards and started to tear up the bike. I was going to do an oil change and figure out what is clattering. It sounds like the clattering is coming from the valves, so I'm going to get the valve cover off and adjust everything in the morning.
I need to get that finished tomorrow so I can ride back to Peoria Tuesday and go visit Rob on Wednesday. This is going to continue being a busy week.
