I remember...
The moment I first saw you
When I looked into your eyes
I felt countless shivers down my spine...
But you were as cold as Arctic ice.
I remember...
The countless times
Fate reached out to have our paths merge
The many efforts I made to reach out to you...
But you were guarded as a rose with its thorns.
I remember...
How desperate I felt
When your presence was so near and yet so far
When I tried to let you know... how much I yearned for you...
But your heart was harder than any rock.
I remember...
That day you left me bleeding on the ground
My eyes brimmed over with a million tears that refused to fall
Wondering why you threw a rough diamond away for a piece of glass...
But you were blinded by its false brilliance.
I remember...
How I desired to give you the miracle that you seek
The moment your rose gave way, as time stood still
When you stopped, defeated, in the midst of the rain....
And at last I understood...
Neither my feelings nor my life... nothing mattered to me...
As long as from your fetters, I have set you free.
