I especially liked the line, "she knew the glossy pink newborn body underneath the burned shell had to be more like juri's." It suggests the admiration Shiori had for Juri, and her longing to be like her since she feels so inferior. But, as the imagery suggests, it hurts because she isn't Juri, and could never hope to be that same kind of radiance. The imagery is very vivid and appropriate for conveying this kind of pain. The comparison of Juri being the sun also worked extremely well. Splendid!
