Down with the Sickness

So, I've been horribly ill for about two weeks now. I went to the hospital a couple of Sundays ago after having a temp. of 103 degrees for over three days straight and it not breaking at all. Got pumped full of fluids, got lots of fun tests done and was sent home with, "You have a horrible virus. Stay in bed and drink a lot."

Also while at the hospital I was suffering from back pain. This pain was worse than the pain I had when I BROKE my back eight years ago. They couldn't figure out what the hell it was and just said, "You pulled a muscle." Thanks morons.

Turns out I did a lot more than that. I went to my physical therapist and she explained to me that I fucked my SI joint, (which is the most important joint in your back and it allows you to turn, pivot, bend, etc.) and since the SI joint is held in place just tendons and ligaments, guess what? I tore ALL OF THOSE. SWEET. No wonder why I was in so much pain.

So, now I have really limit how much I walk (since for a week I couldn't walk without a cane) and make sure I take baby strides and am not allowed to lift a fucking thing. Basically, I'm completely useless both in my house and around the horses. I've been given exercises to do which seem to be helping and I have to go to therapy twice a week until its healed.

I'm completely stir-crazy now. I have been watching a ton of anime though, so I guess that's the one good thing about being forces to sit on my ass and NOT move due to being virus-filled and SI joint-fucked. I'll post more about what I've been watching in another update.

I hope everyone else has been healthy! I have to say, when I get sick, man do I get sick.... I have to go back to the doctor's tomorrow because this virus isn't getting better and therefore she wants me to come back in and make sure nothing else is going on.

So, we shall see what the Dr. says tomorrow...

Until later....
