So I thought I would update on what my kitten, Toesa-Rosea is like. She's about 5 months old now and has gotten quite big. I'm excited though because she's going to be short-haired and she's extremely anal about keeping herself clean, which is a nice change from the other two giant lumps I own which resemble cats.
We still have her confined to the upstairs of the house only because the kitchen is STILL being worked on (longest renovation ever!) and so we figured that if she had access to the downstairs she would not only torment the shit out of the men working, but would probably manage to get herself killed in some manner.
The other cats come upstairs to sleep on the beds and be lazy and Toes is really funny because she's such a bitch to them. I find this entertaining as hell because Toes is only 7lbs and both Sweet Thing and Little Boy are close to, if not over 20lbs each! But Toes protects her upstairs kingdom and turns into bitch-kitty-from-hell and harasses them until they come to me and BEG me to let them back downstairs. I can't wait to see how this plays out when she gets bigger. The vet says she's going to be a big cat simply because of her bone structure. So, Toes will soon be running the house.
She's funny. I've never had such a fun yet opinionated cat before. She's very loving and sweet, but man when she gets bitchy, she's a lunatic! You can't pick her up and carry her anywhere now, she squirms around. I'm the only one who can move quick enough when she starts this crap and doesn't end up dropping her. I think this is because I've dealt with so many retarded animals that now it's just a natural thing.
She's a thief. She steals stuff. But only certain things. She loves my socks. I've seen her go into my clean laundry basket and pull the socks out one by one and then run off with them. She stores them in different places. I once found a pile under my bed. And then I found them all under my Mother's bed once too. And it's not like there were only a couple. No, there were like 30. She steals my Mother's bobbins from her sewing supplies too. She goes into the bins of threads and looks around and when she finds one she grabs it in her mouth and runs like hell. These get lost very easily because they are so small. I think my Mom has lost around 20 she said.
We have currently decided that our new favorite thing to do is RUN LIKE HELL up and down the LONG upstairs hallway. This is really entertaining to watch. She runs as fast as she can and she actually sounds like a heard of elephants. For a little cat she sure can make a lot of noise. My Mom and I will be downstairs and we'll hear her start running back and forth. We both crack up laughing because it sounds like there should be 40 cats running, not one little one. However, I have discovered that if I throw a ball back and forth in the hallway, she'll chase after it. This makes her tired rather quickly since th hallway is so long. So, then she'll pass the fuck out after about doing this 10 times.
So, she's a great addition to the family. Little does my Mother know that she's coming with me whenever the hell I move out. And Sweet Thing will come too since she hates my Mother and my Mom hates her in return. Sweet Thing will want to kill Toes, but whatever. They'll have to learn to deal.
I don't really have any pictures of miss Toesa-Rosea. I've have to take some and post them.
She's eating now. And she's got a sleepy face on. Time for a kitty-nap!
