Triumphant return?

Feb 15, 2006 19:43

Hey everyone...looks like I might be giving this thing a shot again. I feel like I'm missing out on some of my friends' lives by neglecting this place so...here goes :)

(copied from xanga site, as always)

What to do with the Lincoln elevators:

1. 'Up' button doesn't work? Press the 'Down' button and you should be well on your way of going...up.
2. Stuck on a floor? Get off the elevator, walk up a flight, press 'up' and continue on when it meets you up there.
3. Door won't open? Hope you've got cards.
4. Drunk? Draw 'No one bans the snowman' all over the walls.
5. Bored? Respond to the 'snowman' drawing with your own drawings (then erase them because the hall fine is $700)
6. Too long a wait? Elevators are broken. Be glad it's not you that's stuck.
7. Elevator jumping from floor 14 to 11 and back again? Enjoy the ride.

Scary day already. I didn't study nearly enough for the calc exam. As usual in math, when I sat down to start it, all the formulas I memorized just kind of disappeared. What's even more irritating is one of the big questions was on velocity formulas. An actual, real-life relevant question. Forgot the formula though.

Might get my Spanish test back today. I don't know whether I'm looking forward to that or dreading it. I meet with my advisor in 20 minutes to talk about my research-in-progress but there's really not much to report on...I just organized whatever data I have.

Wednesdays are the worst: calc, break, research, spanish, break, chemistry, break, ems, algebraic comp. systems. Might get home by 8pm.

I want to sleep...

EDIT 11:57 am: I got an 85/100 on my Spanish test. If that's the hardest chapter, I think all is well. Feels like the day is almost over but it's only just beginning...

EDIT 2:36 pm: Ouch. Chemistry test turned out bad. Definitely not liking geochemistry much anymore. Only two more classes to go!! Just remembered--we're pricking each other with needles today in EMS...should be interesting taking into account my greatest fear. At least I'm used to the sight of blood now. One step at a time.

EDIT 4:44 pm: Totally dodged getting my finger pricked, twice.

EDIT 5:18 pm: No class tonight! Yay!

quotes from EMS class today --

Dan: "Prick her finger on the side, right on the vein so it bleeds profusely..."
Me: "Yea how about this finger?" *sticks middle finger at him*

Professor: "BLEED!"
Student: "I'm tryin!"
