Snow!!
I actually woke up early today and shovelled the driveway. 7 am. No kidding! It's a good 1.5 inches or possibly 2, but it makes for a load of trouble when you live in Chicagoland. I'm sure people driving by thought I was nuts because it's just going to snow more (which it did halfway through shovelling), but I had to get some of it out of the way so my mom could get out of the driveway.
Anyway, the cute fun part.
My dog, Lacey, LOVES to go sledding! When she was a pup, I would pull out one of my hill sleds and let her climb in for a ride. For old times' sake, I got out my expedition sled (no more than a 4' long piece of plastic) and she immediately knew what it was. Her tail wagging, she jumped into it and looked up at me. Aha. I pulled her around the backyard and then, since she wasn't satisfied, I pulled her up the hill on the sidewalk past a number of homes. I'll just say I made the garbage man laugh.
When we got back home, she wouldn't get out of the sled. She was shivering and cold but still just wanted to go sledding. I finally had to pull her out...
