The weekend report!
Ok, so I'm finally getting to it. This post is NOT F-locked since it's a con report, however, I'm not linking it to anywhere since I really didn't do much con wise and this is more based around what I did during the weekend. Pics are at the end of the report, however, since there are 20+ pics, there is a warning due to the fact the pics are going to load regardless of what LJ-cut you click on.

Ah, the joyous start of my trip. I'll admit, when I arrived in Beaufort to visit cardcaptorkiki, I did feel a little uneasy...there were quite a few awkward silences and just a heavy atmosphere between the 2 of us. However, once we got into the cosplay mood, things really lightened up. First cosplay I got into was Suicune and I scared the crap outta poor ChiChi (their dog). Everyone enjoyed Suicune, and we took a lot of pictures around the house...but I haven't gotten them yet XD;;;
Next up was Syaoran and Meiling...OMG that was friggin' fun XD; I was too amused after we went downtown by the river. The wind just kept picking up my huge sleeves...and I ended up hitting Sakura-hime's sister with my bells a few times thanks to the wind XD; She's got all those pics, so check out her c.com gallery XD; You still owe me $5 btw XP
Then we got back home and after dinner...I got right back into Suicune XD;;; I've been officially dubbed Sakura-hime's sister's Pokemon club's mascot XD~! SO more pictures were taken outside this time (the others were taken inside), and I think I scared the crap outta her brother o.O Lol but at least Suicune got worn at some point. Oh yeah...for another 2 hours, I sat in Suicune playing SSBB...you have no friggin' idea how much I squeed when I let a Suicune out of a pokeball XD;;;;
Ok...seriously...not much here...I spent most of the day traveling. But I got stuck in traffic a shit-load of times, and I was told (2 hours from Chattanooga) that Illich wouldn't be at the con. Yes, I was pissed off XD; But, I got over that and ranted about how traffic was a fucking pain in the ass...
Finally! Con day! I FROZE MY ASS OFF IN GINJI! *dies* I can't stand to wear shorts and short sleeves in 50 degree weather...or colder...however, we all discovered that I fit Ginji too friggin' well, and I amused our new friends when I chased after shiny objects and played with a lighter...unfortunately, Ban-chan had a hayday with it and joined in with throwing a few coins for me to chase after...but I kinda got back at him since I made him get my yaoi doujinshi >D (YAY GETBACKERS SMUT!)
But it took forever to get a room, so we just relaxed in the lobby of the hotel most of the time. It was so funny since people kept coming around going "It figures, you GetBackers are so lazy.", and I was just amused by it XD; BUT we finally got a room, and we got to shove all our stuff in without worry...the bellman was really nice too X3 He was a big help with all my stuff (damn you big wings).
After getting all the stuff into the room, we decided to change into Dark and Krad since it had gotten to be mid-afternoon, and I wanted to not freeze anymore. So we changed and I wore my small wings to match Dark. We were stopped a lot to get pics, and when we walked into the artist alley, we were subjected to a mini-photoshoot of our very own X3 The pictures turned out WONDERFUL (I'll actually label them for show since I love them so much)! After the shoot though, Dark was getting a bit hot, so we went back to the room...
Changing again, I got into Suicune (thank God I did) and Dark got into Dragon!Kurogane. He had to help lead me since it was slightly hard to see (I can't see directly in front of me XD; but I did a good job walking at times alone). But back to the artist alley we went since that's where most people had gathered. The minute I walked in people went "Oh. My. God!" and grabbed their cameras. I got petted a few times, and I got free Ramune from a Heartless X3 One guy talked to Dark while I talked to the Heartless, and the had mentioned to Dark "That must be painful to walk like that..." since it actually looked like I was walking on hind-legs. Dark explained to him that I was actually standing up straight and that it was padding. But we were off again after I finished my Ramune, and we sat outside for a little while. No pics then since no one was around, so we went back to the room.
So yeah, back into Ginji and Ban-chan, and I continued to carry my sign and beat Ban-chan with it. Since I wanted to go to the SSBB tourney, Ban-chan had to wait for food since it was so close, and I made it to the 2nd round by default, and I would've went further if it weren't for the fact that my 2nd round stage was NOT on a flat field >>; So with that done, off to FOOD! It was hilarious, the place we were at had a pizza place (perfect for Ban-chan and Ginji), so we ate there, and I shoved the sign into the window as Ban-chan placed the order. Here's where I pull the ultimate Ginji move...after food came and we were eating, both of us ran out of drinks, but Ban-chan had put a new slice of pizza on his plate. We argued who was going to get re-fills, and Ban-chan lost. When his back was turned, I ganked the piece of pizza and started eating it. *gigglefit* He came back and put our drinks down...looked at his plate, looked at me and went "Did you steal my piece of pizza!?" I shit you not! It was TOO perfect a moment!
But...we went back to the room after dinner since it was late, and CRASHED >>;;
Con day numero 2. IT RAINED! So that canceled wearing Suicune since I didn't want to ruin the fur. First thing we got into was Ban-chan and Ginji (seeing a pattern here?) and sat down in the artist alley. I kinda died and almost got traded to Hojo for a few measly pieces of candy (thanks a lot, Ban-chan...), but after a while, we went and grabbed lunch...in the pizza place again XD; Nothing snappy this time, but Ban-chan said we'd go to the candy store afterwards X3
But we went back to the room instead and it started to THUNDER! Right after I got out of Ginji and into Krad >>;; But I was stubborn and wore my big wings in the rain (it wasn't that hard, so they were safe), and we nearly got rushed when we got into the building. I'VE GOT FANGIRLS, BITCHES!! We had a lot of pics since I had the huge wings on, and I've only found a few pics of that XD; I was only in this for about 2 hours since I couldn't sit down and time flew really fast for some reason XD;
So we went back to the room and BACK into Ban-chan and Ginji (yeah this was their weekend), and I finally got taken to the candy store~! *squee* I got chocolate and rock candy X3 And then we went back to the artist alley and crashed there for about an hour. A Jiraya cosplayer (I so butchered the name) came around at some point during that hour and considerably targeted me..."Could you get back my virginity?!"...of course, he had a friend snap a pic of my expression, and I really felt horrible...so I kinda zoned out and stuck to playing my DS and eating my candy. THEN, Jiraya came back and goes "Have you gotten it back yet", and Ban-chan practically told him off with something along the lines of "It's been gone so long we probably can't get it back!" and Jiraya's whole group went "OOooooo!" I felt better, and we went back to the room to chill until the GetBackers panel.
Yeah...the GetBackers panel...lol, I never knew there was one until the start of the con since it was never mentioned on the website. Ban-chan and I obviously went, and we were TOO in character. I went after shiny things, and Ban-chan tortured me with a laser pointer...but then I did something o.O And Ban-chan chased after me. We had the whole panel going since we fit the characters rather well, and I nearly escaped Ban-chan, but he got me and tackled me to the ground...I've got a rug burn and a few bruises from it, but I'm fine ^^ We were told at the panel that we fit the characters perfectly (me especially), and we soon left since I was promised that we'd go to the Yaoi panel. Lol, poor Ban-chan XD~!
Not much here either...we left the con and I completely crashed in the hotel I was staying at. I slept for most of the day...
Technically we just relaxed all day. I got to go to Morning Glory again, and I finally got my hands on more GetBackers stuff XD; I'M A SUCKER >>;; I even got some DNAngel stickers X3 Yay~!
We all know what I did Tuesday...I came home...and that's when my world came crashing down...
