A long week, and a reflection..
The state of chuunin right now reminds me of one of the countless reasons I prefer Bleach.
Fanbrats--this part of the series happened 2 years ago. The horse is dead. I don't think digging it back up and beating it a second time is going to make candy come out of it.
But, enough of that.
I've been gone from LJ for a while--moreover because of the last week, and how busy it was. I quit my old job because my hours were about to be cut drastically due to us losing one of our sites (the Hillsborough building, where I got 33 of my 37 hours a week.) I would have been on-call, like a bunch of the other officers. And On-Call doesn't pay the rent well.
So, I jumped to working temp at the AICPA. This is the professional society for Certified Public Accountants. It's clerical/data entry, and it's been a lot of fun. Also, there's a chance of permanency, so I'm going to be working toward that. $14.00 an hour also is nice, and at 40 hours a week, it will get rent paid and then some. And since I'm temp, I get paid every week.
Also, I've got a car now--a pretty little Kia Sportage; that two of my new friends from Animazement gave me. They were trying to get rid of it before they moved--it still ran fine; and I got to take it off their hands. ♥ It will be nice being mobile.
