Oh god, it escaped from the looney bin, and is trying to fight. GET IT!

Let me make this known first.

I believe that Bleach has been going downhill since the end of TBTP. All of this "Fight of the Day crap", and the "Remember how we used to say how powerful the arrancar were? Well, we kinda lied. Now every jackass in Soul Society can kill one--and in less than two chapters, too!'

And now, Hinamori Momo.

She's been sniveling, whining and obsessing over a man who used her for countless chapters--even betraying those who loved her for him--and when he 'betrayed' her, her psyche broke.

She was useless for the longest time, before and after Aizen's betrayal, much like Part 1 Haruno Sakura.

But, at least we get an explanation of why Sakura got more badass. We have no explanation of Momo. She's been locked up in the looney bin for all we know. No, excuse me, they call that the Maggots' Nest, don't they?

And yet, here she is, using uber kidou to take down arrancar; using a kidou shield and a kidou net and god knows what else. Am I the only one who feels compelled to call shenanigans?

Also. Two telling things---her fukutaichou's badge, and even more so, the fact that she still refers to Aizen as Aizen-taichou.

I think somebody's gonna turn. Who agrees with me? Aizen's twisted her mind so much, that I think the moment that Aizen gets threatened, she's gonna defend him. Or, she's playing it up right now, to jump onto Aizen's side as soon as the ex-captain gets in the fray; having planned to join him beforehand.

And I would love to see this. Reading between the lines is fun, and also, isn't betrayal a lovely thing? And Hinamori is a textbook Stockholm case. Just because she's fighting now, and just because she LOOKS like she's "on the Gotei's" side at the moment--that wouldn't be enough to turn her against Aizen; who she believed "nurtured her", and "protected her", and "taught her". Aizen, who was the center of her world.

I only think one thing could break her of her Stockholm; and that would be Aizen either killing, or almost killing Hitsugaya right infront of her. That would reset her priorities.

But, I also only see two ways for her--Either dying to protect Aizen still stockholmed, or dying to avenge or protect Hitsugaya from Aizen.

No offense to the Hinamori fans out there, and on my friends' list; but I found this chapter rather bland, stupid and unimpressive. And I find it funny that out of the whole of the comments on soul_society, It was only gully_moe and I who saw fit to even say ANYTHING that even critiqued the chapter. Infact, we were the only people who said things that weren't a fit of fangirl squee.

A wise woman named Doreen, who walked the halls of Enhasa once said to me "Never trust what you see and feel is real." (and YES, that WAS a Chrono Trigger reference.) I think we should all be remembering this with Hinamori.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to try and survive the last 5 hours of my shift without passing out.
