Got back from Craters of the Moon today. It was a lot better than I expected. A lot of it seems different from when I was a kid, although I'm sure the majority of it is still the same.
I took a few hundred pictures, some good, some not so good. My favorite part was the lava tubes. The best lava tube however, was outside of the park close to Shoshone Idaho. The thing is two miles long (we only were allowed in 1/4 of a mile though) It had tons of artifacts removed from it ranging from prehistoric bear, mammoth, and buffalo bones, to prehistoric cave dwellers to recent Native Americans.
I have a bad habit. I have to collect plants no matter where I am, or how illegal it is. I ended up bringing home three different species from the National Monument....and yes, it is illegal to collect plants in there. I even found a little tree that I liked so I dug it up for a possible bonsai. I am bad. So far I have collected in two state parks, one national park and one national monument....man I'm a rebel, a rebel without a cause, or even a reason to collect plants in the first place. (man I'm a nerd). Oh yeah, I even stole soil!! What kind of a dork steals soil? It is really good stuff though, bonsai's are going to be happy. Very happy indeed. INDEED!
Anyway, I had a good time. Somehow, I still find time to get in bad moods, I don't know how it happens, and I treat my boy like a bastard. My bad moods range from just being snippy to not even wanting to be touched. Help me Mr. Popeil!
Fireworks tomorrow. I think I'll clean my room.
