No, not the kind that I can just kill or release to make it go away. An honest to goodness stomach flu. I haven't had one of these damn things in decades. I mean literally, not since I was under 10.

So Tuesday afternoon it hits. I get sick at work. I'm doing the icky things associated with stomach flu and in a cold sweat. The nurses on my floor are taking my blood pressure, calling an ambulance, etc. We're not sure what it is, but I was pretty sure it was food poisoning at that point.

Ambulance picks me up and takes me to my preferred ER. They take my vitals, a urine sample and a blood sample. I get an IV and a bag of fluid. They tell me it's nothing to worry about, my tests came back fine. The PA who saw me even said he had the same thing a couple weeks ago.

Spent yesterday at home chilling out. Today I've been nauseated most of the morning, but doing better now. Had some beef stew from Au Bon to get protein and vegetables in me. Hopefully the worst of this is behind me.

Oh, and never forget to call your parents (if they're living) or loved ones if you've gone to the ER, even if it turns out to be nothing. They kind of freak out. Even if you've told your sister and posted on Facebook. *sigh*
