Diziara was stalking down the corridor, muttering to herself, handling a bottle of blood wine. She was wearing a blue lace jumpsuit, strapless and wide legged, lined down the front and the back with a solid black, leaving her skin, spots and such clearly visible down the sides. She spotted Noelle down the corridor, headed in her direction. Noelle was wearing a blue slip dress and simple, yet pretty, flats.

"Who's dragging you to the party?" Diziara asked with a half chuckle. "Spiegel seems to be cooking something up." Noelle looked up as if she'd only just realized that Diziara was there.

"Jana seems to think it'll do me some good to socialize," Noelle explained, falling into step next to Diziara. "Lucas wanted me to make sure you were coming to the party though, I was just on my way to find you."

"Yeah, the dork's definitely cooking something up. He should know I like to be fashionably late unless I'm the one hosting the party, so I don't know why he'd be sending people out to find me already."

"Oh he just..." Noelle started, then looked over at Diziara. "Never mind."

"This is for my promotion, isn't it?" Diziara stepped in front of Noelle as she said this, turning around to face the smaller woman and walk backwards. She and Noelle approached a t-junction and Diziara wasn't watching where she was going as she turned the corner. Noelle opened her mouth to warn Diziara, but didn't get a sound out before the tall red-head collided with a five foot six tall Andorian. "I'm sorry," Diziara started as she turned around to make sure she didn't do any serious damage.

Noelle was indeed very simply clad; aside from the dress and the flats, she hadn't made many other concessions to a social occasion. She wore no cosmetic, no jewelry aside from simple stud earrings. In the artificial light one could easily see the freckles on her cheeks and shoulders. But she looked tired.

As Diziara and the Andorian collided, Noelle suppressed a giggle. She discreetly checked the Andorian out, making a mental note, then said, "Excuse us, Zha."

"Yes, it's for your promotion," Noelle said, a little bit of strain evident in her voice. "We owed you this one."

She laughed a little.

"Question, Diz... you know anything about all the transfers? Lot of faces I don't recognize."

Imaru frowned as she picked herself up off the deck and brushed her uniform strait, a expression of frustration crossing her face. "I think a bit of an introduction would be nice before just walking off after colliding with a fellow crew member" she said in a tone that expressed her displeasure with that, and the arbitrary grouping her in the normal Andorian social structure, retrieving her duffel bag off the deck next. "I think some time in your planets history it would have been known as trading insurance information?" she added

Diziara softly chuckled at the Andorian's reproach, and offered a hand up, which she could see wasn't needed. She grinned at the blue woman in front of her.

"I'm Diziara, this is Noelle," she introduced. "We're headed to a party that's apparently intended as a surprise celebration for my promotion," Diziara tossed a forced grin towards Noelle as she explained that part. "Would you like to join us?"

"Um... Sure" the Andorian woman replied. "I'm Imaru Asheven by the way, just came aboard to join the ship's engineering department as propulsion systems specialist" she introduced herself as she accepted Diziara's hand to shake. "Nice to meet you. And you as well" she added, smiling at Noelle.

As Imaru puzzled over the encounter, Noelle turned back to her.

"Oh, dear. I'm so sorry. Where are my manners? I've recently gotten back from a total immersion in Andorian etiquette, and it didn't dawn on me -" she laughed a little self-consciously, "That
anyone would want to default to Terran."

She paused for a moment, and held out her hand.
"Lieutenant Junior Grade Noelle Madalyn Connor, engineering. I manage the ops division within the department."
