"Hey, do you know where you're going?" Travis called after Diziara as he pursued her down the corridor, only moments after she'd walked away from their conversation. She didn't react like she'd heard him, and he growled to himself. "Do you even know where she is right now?" This caused Diziara to stop midstride.

"Qu'vatlh!" she spit out as she ( Read more... )

“I can only assume,” Storvik thought to himself, “that the terms ‘pet’ and ‘baggage,’ in this context, refer to the extraneous personnel from this universe… including myself.” Completely unaware of the conversation which Diziara had just had with Travis (even his Vulcan ears couldn't hear through a closed and sealed hatch), Storvik decided that it was time to state his case. “I believe that I can be of further use to you on your return voyage,” he said to Diziara. He sensed that the final decision would be hers. He did not, however, notice the I-told-you-so look that Travis aimed the the Klingon. “I am also an agent of the rebellion against the Alliance, and was posted here on Terok Nor on the off-chance that I would be able to act as an emissary to your Federation should any further contact be made between our universes.” He made eye contact with Spiegel and Noelle before continuing, “I request passage on the Obama back to your universe, and the opportunity to speak with your leaders.”

Diziara's first response to Storvik's request was an obnoxious laugh. Travis couldn't help snickering in response, and Spiegel glared at Diziara with his arms crossed, an eyebrow cocked and a frown. When Diziara finally realized that the only one laughing with her was Travis, she made efforts to calm her reaction.

"I'm sorry, you probably intended for that to come across as a serious request I would actually consider agreeing to," she finally said, and bit her lip in an attempt to keep herself from giggling. "Look, Federation policy is pretty clear, we're not supposed to bring anyone back with us when we cross back to our universe. Besides, I don't like you, Vicky."

“Besides, I don't like you, Vicky.”

“You do not even know me,” The Vulcan replied, then raised an eyebrow. “Unless you are projecting upon me feelings that you may have toward my analog in your universe. In any event, it seems as though it is your emotions, rather than your regulations, which are speaking. Or snickering, as the case may be.” Storvik wondered again what his analog in the Federation universe must be like.

Diziara chuckled again. "What part of 'We're not supposed to bring anyone back with us' leaves it open for negotiation or interpretation? Pointing out that I don't like you was just to show I'm not inclined to break the regs." Her hand twitched down to the handle of her d'k tahg, though she didn't seem to actually be consciously aware of it. Her fingers curled and idly tapped at the handle.
