Out of the skillet, into the fire.

As Therav was summarizing the plan, Diziara fell in next to Pukey. "You were there when I explained this tactlessly to the fat flaming bastard on Zzyzx, so I'll get right to the point. I am holding you personally responsible for Spiegel getting out of here alive, since we're splitting the team apart. One elmer's glue spiked hair out of place on his head when we rendezvous on the surface, you and I will be having issues. Understood?"

"Doesn't the mission come first?" he asked, blinking. Diziara stepped closer.

"The answer I was seeking from you is yes. We don't have time for anything else. Swear you will keep a careful eye on Spiegel, as his only natural defenses are engineering voodoo and a good duck and run routine," she said tensely. Pukey nodded dumbly, and she made her way to the front of the group.

"I'd feel better if you were watching my back," Spiegel commented as Diziara came up next to him on her way to the front of the group.

"His weak stomach and low IQ aside, he's not a bad security officer. He'll have your back. Besides, Noelle and Thil will be there too. I'll see you topside," Diziara assured him and patted him on the shoulder. He turned his mouth into an attempt at an encouraged grin, but it failed to look genuine. "Don't worry about it and keep your head down."

As she moved past Spiegel, she came up alongside Therav and Sharad. Therav shot her a look, but finally having realized his threats of black marks on her record were going to do nothing to bring her under control, he elected to not waste the breath to say anything to her about the conversation with Pukey. She hardly noticed when Therav elected to fall back to coordinate with Thil last minute as they approached the control room.

"How many are we expecting inside?" Diziara hissed under her breath at Sharad as she spotted the two guards standing outside the door.

"No more than three," he hissed back, grabbing her arm as if she were his prisoner. She made an effort to not grin about the pending violence as they approached the guards. The rest of the group hung back as Diziara made a hand gesture behind her back the guards couldn't see.

"What's this?" One guard asked, looking at Diziara curiously. The other looked past her at the rest of the group, which the Andorian members of the team had their weapons trained on the rest. The guards didn't seem to notice that the prisoners were fully armed.

"Orders, from General Tahryn," Sharad muttered vaguely, and moved towards the door. One guards extended her arm in front of the door, and the other moved forward into Sharad's face.

"What orders?" he demanded. Sharad shrugged, and released his grip on Diziara. She went into motion quickly, grabbing the two guards by their antennae and slamming their heads together. The Andorians in the team all winced, but kept moving as the bodies fell to the floor. Sharad reached into the pocket of one of the guards, and produced a key card.

"You don't have one of those of your own?" Diziara asked, pulling out her Type 1 phaser. Sharad took one look at it and sneered.

"The longer we go without anyone realizing I'm helping you, the farther we'll get with minimal difficulty. What's with the toy?" he nodded at the phaser and she laughed.

"My brother kicked it up, it's a Type 2 in the packaging of a Type 1," she explained. "Ready when you are." He nodded, and unlocked the door, throwing it open. Phaser fire started up as the door swung open, and Diziara peeked around the edge of the door frame as she double checked that the phaser was on stun. "Yep, three." She shot through the doorway, then looked in after. "Two now. Who wants to lead the way in?"

"You've been having all the fun so far, my turn," Noelle commented, and darted in before anyone else could react. When the phaser fire died down a minute later, Diziara poked her head into the room cautiously.

"You should have asked Noelle to watch my back," Spiegel commented when Diziara indicated it was clear.

"I figured she'd keep an eye on you without having to be asked," Diziara explained. Pukey, Talanna and Thil took up defensive positions, covering the door, as Noelle and Spiegel started coordinating over the control panels. Diziara smiled at the familiar engineer babble that jumped between the two, each finishing the other's sentences, as Sharad closed the door.

"This way," he said with a nod and lead down the corridor. Therav shot Diziara a look when she waited for him to go first, and the trio moved towards the location they expected Dr. tr'Avrak to be.
