Perth and other things...

Ok. I’m going to say this first up so I can get it out of the way. That way it won’t be hanging over my post and casting a rather icky shadow over it. Hopefully it’ll mean I’ll be able to post as per normal.

My nana died. She had a stroke last year and has been in a coma (or near enough) since then. Ten days ago she died. I wasn’t told until last night. Actually, I wasn’t going to be told until later today but I saw the flowers that dad’s work had sent. The card said something like ‘with sympathy, the Stellar team’. Which is pretty much what gave it away. I cried. But that’s only to be expected.

Now, I’ll get on with the rest of the post.

…On a side note, please excuse the bad grammar, poor spelling and general shoddiness of this post. I haven’t slept. At all. I’m running on coffee, juice and sugar. Win. XDDDD

So, I’ve been in Perth for the past two weeks. Staying with Courtney. It was mad. Seriously, SO MUCH FUN. I brought some manga (Death Note and Loveless) and a bunch of anime with me and we read/watched that in between an emo/goth trip to the city with Tess (Courtney’s friend), a picnic with (almost) the entire group, roller skating (Hannah, Tash, Courteny and me), darklight (a laser shooting game thing with many people. Lawl. Forgot who exactly), going to the city with other friends, going to the marina (Hannah, Jess, Alex, brenton, Tash, Courtney and me), shopping and watching fireworks. Oh, and of course there was Legend of Zelda, pizza and checking out cute guys. Seriously, it was absolutely amazing. Even when I went visiting rellies (something which normally bores me to death) with my grandpa, I was having fun.

I ate too. Like, holy shit. Usually we don’t eat that much at home so I wasn’t really used to it, but Leigh’s (that Courtney’s mum) an awesome cook. So’s Courtney as a matter of fact so I didn’t mind. ^.^

Her brother’s were pretty annoying, but not too bad. I suppose. Lol.

I slept over Ellie’s too. We spent a lot of the time talking to Stephen on msn. Stephen and Ellie are going out, y’see. They’re very cute. Tres cute. And you know who else is cute? Alex and Jess. Omg. Adorable. And Hannah and John. Like seriously, Perth wins at cute couples. I was going ‘NAWWWWW!’ like every three seconds at the picnic. And I took a ridiculous number of photos of everything on Tash’ camera. Memories and all, y’know?

Anyway, I saw pretty much everyone at some point, except Tom because he was on holiday in QLD. Ironic. We’re hoping to catch up sometime though. I also didn’t see Nicola except when I visited her at work on my last day in Perth. It was weird. I dunno, I expected more. Somehow. Coz like, she didn’t even ask how I was? Yeah. Then again, we haven’t spoken since I left, except when she wanted the password for my old lj….yeah, I dunno why I expected anything. >.>

It was really great seeing everyone. God, I never realised how much I missed them until I saw them again and then had to leave. Those guys are amazing. Seriously.

Twelve days wasn’t long enough.

The plane trip back was more interesting that the one there, I think. There, I flew Virgin Blue and had to stop over in Melbourne. Not much to say about that. On the way back I flew Quantas. The really weird thing is that there was like, a ridiculous number of attractive guys on the plane. And they all seemed to know each other? And despite all the good-looking boys to choose from, I somehow ended up sitting next to some guy who looked like the mutant love-child of Osama Bin Laden and Hagrid. But he was pretty nice so I didn’t mind.

…Actually, no, the trip wasn’t more interesting. I don’t know why I thought it was. Eh.

When I arrived at the airport, mum greeted me. She got a bit pissy because apparently I wasn’t enthusiastic enough in my greeting. Bleh.

We got home at twelvish and talked about Perth. Then I worked out Grandma had died and mum started crying. So I comforted her for a bit. And then she got angry at me again? Oh well. She went upstairs to prepare for bed and I stayed downstairs and started crying. Eventually mum realised I wasn’t preparing for bed and came down. So we cried together for a bit. Until I pulled myself together and tried to make mum feel better somehow.

It didn’t work and she went to bed. I had a shower and then cleaned my room until four am. And then my sister woke up (she’s learning to bake now so she has to start early mornings) and I helped her get ready. I straightened her hair and gave her the present I had bought her (I didn’t know I was supposed to buy her a present but I got a text from mum that said that she wanted one and had even bought me something to make sure I got her something too. Crazy.) She gave me a bracelet and this shirt that she got a little while ago that I really loved. I gave her a metal chicken. I feel so cheap. But hey, I don’t have a job or any money. So thar.

After Aida had left I had another shower, washed my hair, changed and uploaded the photos and videos off my phone. The videos are mostly Courtney doing comedy acts. Funny shit.

So yeah. That’s life up ‘til right now.

I’m waiting to feel tired or something. It isn’t happening. Which is probably good because I have to entertain today. Fiona’s brining Hannah and Brandon around. And I like them too much to sleep through their visit. XP

Argh. School in two days. Someone shoot me please.

P.S. Courtney gave me these clip-on kitty ears. They are SO ELITE IT’S NOT FUNNY. I love them. So much. I’ll take a picture of me wearing them one day and post it. Totally. When the animecon rolls into town I’m gonna cosplay as someone from Loveless. Because now I have the kitty ears. Brilliance.
P.P.S. I want my nana.
