dogs are so much better than children

anyone who has met my brown beau knows exactly what i'm talking about.

loving the weather lately - i'll be catching a nice tan soon enough :)

had  a strange dream about visiting ocean city with brit (we took a 4 day trip last week - i swear, near the ocean is where i belong) last night. we were visiting rich relatives that had a beach house, fire pit on the patio, koa wood bar, really swanky place. it was also close to a marine wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center, so i took kaden down to meet some dolphins. he jumped right in the water and swam all around. the trainer offered to teach him water survival techniques like how to float and swim with only 3 paws. then one of the dolphins jumped over the restricted area sign and dashed out to a splashing idiot kid in the current. the dolphin nudged him back to shallow water and the brat was saved. woo hoo. i was thinking that the dolphin didn't understand natural selection and children who disobey their parents in the ocean should be left as shark food.

red sox double header today (1 -1 against the twins bottom of the 9th right now)
capitals game 2 of playoffs to the stanley cup

i have so. many. clothes. i feel like ive been hanging and reorganizing for days! thankfully the party is at ricks house, so i won't have to make our place presentable.

sker and i actually cooked dinner last night. i'm trying to shape that kid into something date-able. cooking, cleaning, and exercise are at the top of my list. :) but after a look through one of my 8 cook books we decided on dijon pork chops, mashed potatoes and sweet corn. i love my george foreman grill - tender juicy meat that slides off the knife. nom. nom.

haha - remember when i used to be vegetarian? silly, erin.

earth day protest in DC (4/22) against commercial whaling with greenpeace. please come out, bring signs, make banners, help us send a message to the president who ran on such economic platforms and is now drilling off our atlantic shores and bargaining with the japanese.

the show is going really well. goes up during my 25th birthday weekend - hoping for a big turn out. i have a solo about how i believe in staying faithful to my husbands and til death do us part - i just happen to be the 'death' part of the equation. also learning a tap number to a gershwin medley and singing alto harmony on boogie woogie bugle boy. i sang boogie woogie in show choir, but i have a feeling the costumes for this show will be better than in high school ;)

my friend fallyn is thinking of starting a 'crafty wenches' page on etsy. she makes fantastic costumes for belly dancing (which i also might get into once this show closes. something about the sisterhood and acceptance of sexuality and female form is really appealing to me despite the fact that i have a 10:1 ratio of male to female friends), claire could start selling her artwork (really dark, detailed stuff - she gave me a piece for free!), really neat shit.

i guess that's all for now - back to clothes and lady gaga. oh! i might have an audition at a baltimore night club (no, im not stripping. thats my back up plan in vegas if i cant find a good man by 2011. jk. sort of.) as an impersonator singing lady gaga, kelly clarkson, some italian stuff, etc. pays $100 every saturday. not a bad side gig.

oh, anyone know of worth while open mic gigs in the DMV? now that baby sarah is two months old, patrick and i might be able to hit the streets soon.

aaaawwwwwwwww - kaden just ran around with one of his squeaky toys begging me to play and chase. after a few trips up and down the stairs, he plopped down next to my knee and rested his head on my thigh with a 'thanks mom' smile.  i love this dog.

have a great weekend kids!

peace & cheers,
 RIN
