I'm sorry that the first post on here in quite a while is a gripe. However, I need to vent.
He SHOULD have been leaving for terminal leave today. It was all worked out. He gets home at stupid o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, we shop for furniture, he had a job interview, we celebrate Thanksgiving with the family, shop for more furniture on Friday and move into our new apartment on Saturday and Sunday.
Unfortunately, because of a few IDIOTS who think they're far more important than mere mortals, he's not leaving today unless there happens to be a miracle today. HE'S CHECKED OUT OF THE MARINES!!! But because somebody hasn't signed his terminal leave package, he's stuck on a base he can't even leave. This is one of the most asinine things we've ever encountered.
Cross your fingers and say a prayer please. I was really hoping he'd be home for his first Thanksgiving in several years. Maybe he'll get to leave tomorrow or Wednesday...
