I coiuld almost...er...(winces) gush or something about this chapter. Dean's response to Faith is 10000% Dean, all the way. It's one of the good things about being a hunter, I think. If you can stay alive and don't get your brains knocked into a tree or up your ass, you learn about perspective and being human and getting on with things as long as you're able to do that. And that's what Dean is telling Faith...In spades. Faith is solid, too, world weary and combat weary and still hoping that, somehow or other. .She's everything Buffy couild never be, and, in the overcoming evil department, Faith is the better slayer because of her background.
But if anyone, and I DO mean anyone, touches one hair on John Winchester's head, they're going to have to deal with me, and, fiction or not, that's something that Lindsay and company do not want to have to face... (Snarls, but not quietly, and glowers).
