How are you?
Just happened to swing by and noticed these wonderful photos of places in Europe that you had visited. They bring back wonderful memories for me as I was in those places from mid August to mid September last year (2008.) However, it's unfortunate that somehow I lost (or hopefully, misplaced) my SD cards full of photos of that trip. Went to tourist-clogged Venice (and Murano Island) and among other things, elbowed my way into those vaporettos just to experience riding them up and down the Grand & other canals. Took that wonderful "Norway in a Nutshell" trip-by modern train from Oslo to Myrdal, then by that green, old-fashioned cogwheel train to Flam, then by boat cruising the Sojnfjord to Gudvangen, then bus to Bergen, then by overnight train back to Oslo. Took the overnight ship from Oslo to Copenhagen via the Oslo fjord. I agree with you--the Sojnfjord was an ethereal, out-of-this-world experience. The Oslo fjord paled in comparison. Was in the Netherlands too but spent most of my time in Haarlem, which I enjoyed. I did do one of those canal tours in Amsterdam, rode the streetcars, and went to the flower market. But no time for the museums, except that tiny branch of the Riks at the airport.

BTW, am I going to walk in Northern Spain this fall with a friend, maybe two. Do you want to join me?

Sorry for this long comment=got carried away. But I feel a certain kind of kinship with fellow travelers. Have a great day usha123!
