So what is up with Cristen theses days? A lot! It's been pretty busy around here lately. ZT and I were in a wedding a few weeks ago. 2 friends of ours were getting married. Zane was the best man and I was a brides maid. The wedding was pretty interesting but we had a good time. My new job is awesome. I don't even feel like im at work most of the time. For those of you living under a rock...I no longer work at Fox 35 News anymore. I have traded in my sucky news schedule for a m-f 7:30-5 schedule and I have every other Friday off. Pretty sweet deal. I am a the Public Relations Assistant for the North Central Region of Progress Energy.
I need to get my wisdom teeth out so that my teeth can get straightened. I went to 3 oral surgeons up here in the Orlando area...all of which want to charge me over $2000 to have it done. I called a dentist in Clearwater who is only going to charge me $1000.00 It crazy that dentists can get away with charging that much.
I am going to go back to school to get my Masters. I had been toying with which school to go to and if I really wanted to deal with taking the GRE to get in. I didn't really want to take the test and driving to UCF up here at 5pm would be horrible. I decided to go to Keller Graduate school at DeVry. It has the same accreditdation as a regular college or university. I am going to get my Masters of Public Administration which will help me have a better chance of eventually getting a raise.
Before I could register for classes I had to take this math test because Keller wouldn't accept on of my algebra classes from St. Pete College. I havent seen algebra in YEARS! Anyway, the test was only 12 questions but each question had a certain amount of points it was worth. It wasnt graded out of 100 it was based on which ones you got right and the points it gave you. Well in order to not have to take this pre-req math class, you had to get a total of 82 points. I go in and take it...I get a 75. I was pissed. That could have ment I only missed it by one question. I got another chance to take it today. I go in...its a totally different test and it is 50 times harder than the first time. One question I actually sat there staring at the screen going "what in the world...is this a different language?" So I finish the lady prints my score and goes "You got 93 points! You waived the class." I was shocked! I even asked her if the print out had my name on it and not someone elses. I start classes in July. I am taking my sweet time...one class at a time for now. I'm not in a rush.
Other than that...nothing else really going on. Just trying to relax and have fun, until my live is taken over by homework.
