(no subject)
I figured its been awhile since I have been on here and posted anything so lets get started.
I left CNN and I moved back to Florida from Atlanta. I am now living in Lake Mary (Orlando) and I have a job now at FOX 35 as an Associate Producer. I'm not a big fan of my job right now. The job is the total opposite of what I was told it was when I had my interview.
I've come to the conclusion that I don't want to be in the News anymore. I am currently looking for a PR or media relations/marketing job. Where I can work M-F...the occassional weekend if needed...and 9-5 banking hours. I also want my holidays off. I look around and see that to make it high up in this business you have to live in the news station...and I like my "me" time too much. I also like being able to spend time with family and friends and go to Bucs games on Sunday...which I am not able to do right now because my schedule sucks and I have no $$ because my salary is shit. I really like Orlando though...there is plenty of opportunity here...its just trying to get in the door is like pulling teeth. Job applications or sending your resume online is so impersonal and it seems like no one will accept a phone call for anyone anymore. Words on paper doesnt show you what kind of a person I am or what kind of job I can do.
Other than that...I've just been trying to hang out and relax as much as I can. I am really happy to be back in Florida....and near the water again!
The time changed yesterday and even though we gained an hour...I am dragging ass today!
