A REAL UPDATE!!

So here's what I've been up to.

Paul and I went up to his cabin in NC for Spring Break. He picked me up after work on Tuesday and we drove all the way through. We stopped and he had his first WHATABURGER (!!!) in Gainesville and it cured my 4 year craving for them hehe. He drove to Atlanta, and I drove from there. I was soooo suprised we went RIGHT by my cousin's college in GA. Had it not been 2 am, I would have called.

So we get to the Cabin at 4 am, turn the electricity/hot water/etc. on and get to bed. the bed I slept in was SOOOOO COMFY!! So we get up about 9 am and I wanted to take a shower before we went into town. One problem: no hot water. We let it run for like 20 min, and it didn't get warm. So we decided to go to town and got breakfast, went grocery shopping, and got information from the visitor's center.

This was the first time in my life I felt like "those people." "Those People" are the non-locals that ascend on our little CT towns and we locals don't like them too much. They are always ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the small town life, squealing "omg what a cute little place!! such a great little supermarket!!" (I got this a lot when I worked at the Washington Market...uggh..soo maddening..I HATED the New Yorkers). But I found myself saying those things about Sylva (the town) and it suprised me. So yeah, being "those people" is weird and not fun, although don't get me wrong..I LOVED spending time up there and can't wait to go back!!

When we get back to the cabin, there is still no hot water, so we call the builder and he took FOREVER getting back to us. He finally did, and long story short, we didn't have hot water for three days. When we finally did, it was sooooo nice to be able to take a shower and wash your hands in hot water...such a luxury!! You don't realize what it's like NOT to have it till you don't...and it's not fun!

One of the days was soo nice, we just lounged around and watched movies. One of the nights we made an adult meal for ourselves!! We actually had steak, baked potatoes, salad, carrots, and mac and cheese. We were pretty happy with ourselves!

It was just sooo fun and I loved spending time up there. We watched more movies than I can count, played Monopoly, sat by the fire *which I had going like allllll the time!*. We just really enjoyed each other's company and it was great.

However, on the way home. . . Paul got pulled over and the guy was a total jackass. Ugh cops sometimes..*sigh*

So I get home and realize my phone is still in Paul's car and on it's way to Bradenton. So he ends up calling Erin and I talk to him on Erin's cell and decide I'll go down to his house to get it back. His mom and dad seemed happy to see me, and we watched some TV and had dinner together and it was a lot of fun.

So...Paul walked me out to my car, we say goodbye, and I start backing out his 3923287 mile long, STRAIGHT, driveway. I thought I was on the road and went to cut the wheel when I heard this LOUD ****CRUNCH!!!****...holy shit I ran over his mailbox at 1 mph!!!!!!! OMG. So I struggled in the dark to put it back, but to no avail. I went back to his house and tell them what happened and his mom starts laughing at me saying "you ran it over with the GREMLIN!?!?!?!?!" (what she calls my car) Paul goes out to try to fix it, but no way. It's toast. So thankfully the association will pay for a new mailbox, but I was still mortified. They thought it was hilarious. LMAO.

Jess and I went to the aquarium on Saturday..we weren't too thrilled with it, and it was WAY overpriced. Then we went to Tia's..and it sucked...our food wasn't that great. However, our day ended up very well when we rented RENT. OMG if you haven't seen it already, you HAVE TO...it's soooooooooo good. The songs get stuck in your head, just so you know.

Other than that, not much going on...school work work school. That's about it. Can't wait for my birthday bonanza at Disney..it's gonna be SOO MUCH FUN!! :-D :-D :-D

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Luv ya!!
