The River
So Saturday afternoon I was just laying out in the sun....something I have failed to do much of so far this summer because of school and will still not have much of an opportunity to do when I start working. But while I was basking in the sun's glorious rays....I got a call from my Jess asking me if I wanted to go to the river. What the hell....why not? And yes....for all you Florida kids....when I say river I'm talking about the Chattahoochee....the same famous river mentioned in many many country songs. lol. So I drove over with Jess, Matt, and Dan. Once again nature just laughed at my attempt to enjoy it easily. We had to wade across the river and I don't have a pair of chacos, so I was forced to try to do it in flip flops....hahahaha.....that did NOT work out well. I almost lost one, but luckily Matt was able to save it from dissappearing down stream. At that point Jess gave me her chacos and went bare foot....I was scared for her, but she insisted she'd be fine. The water was ICE cold. My legs went a little numb. I'm not gonna lie. I can offically say I've skipped rocks now! Woo! I suck at it though!! :) The current was a tad on the strong side....I had to really work to keep going straight when we got waste deep. But we finally made it. We walked through the wooded area to the rope swings....I didn't even try....I saw right away that you needed lots of coordination and I just don't have it....lol. So Dan and Matt and Jess jumped and we were entertained by a few middle-aged drunk people trying the rope swing as well! haha. "He's a rope swinging veteran!" lol. We made our way back to the other side of the river and crossed until we reached a big rock. We just kinda chilled on it and warmed up in the sun for a bit before going all the way back to land. It was soooooo beautiful and really relaxing! Tubing in Helen GA next weekend anybody?
Well....I have my final in anatomy tomorrow....I didn't even really study. I can't look at this stuff anymore!! And you know what? I figured out that the absolute lowest grade I can make on the test and just pass with a C is a 6/75. I think I'm gonna be ok. lol. So I'm just not even gonna stress about this test. Wish me luck so I can at least maybe keep the A that I already have.
After tomorrow it looks like I'll be starting work....as much as I'm not really looking forward to working, b/c I'd much rather be sleeping all day and sitting in the sun and relaxing all afternoon, I'm happy that I'll be making lots and lots of money!! Yay money!! I'll be able to do fun things!!! lol. I'm running on empty right now....so I really do need to work. Oh well. I'll live.
