here "Always good to be of use," Archie chimed before descending the stairs two at a time. The laundry room was blessedly vacant, a few machines humming away. And attached to the laundry room, he'd remembered, was a single restroom with a locking door. No stalls, no chance of company; just them.
William gave an amused snort. He was just behind Archie as they went down the stair, his destination clearer now. This empty corner of the Compound felt oddly welcoming in that moment. William wasn't particularly keen on waiting, either. The moment he saw that the laundry room was empty, he put his hand on Archie's shoulder and turned him around, pulling him in for a firm kiss.
Archie hadn't expected William to take that much initiative. Not that it wasn't entirely pleasant, but it had been something of an unspoken assumption that their affection would not be expressed so openly. He couldn't and wouldn't complain now, with William's warm mouth pressed against his, but he did pull them through the door of the restroom quicker.
