I didn't shower before coming to work this morning. I wonder if anyone can tell the difference. Yesterday involved no hard labor or outside activities and it was just easier to sleep in and then throw on some clothes and come to work this morning. I was the first person here. Being the first person to work is great b/c no one knows when you came in, and you get to know that everyone else was later than you. I don't do it often--but I do try to be the first person in at least once a week.
One of the nearby offices gave one of my bosses flowers last week for her help with one of their projects, and then she gave the flowers to me so she didn't have to transport them home to Gwinnett county. Now she's coming in this week for a meeting (this morning--I HAVE A MEETING TO ATTEND!!!VERY IMPORTANT!! I will take NOTES and be ATTENTIVE!) and the flowers are dead on my desk. bummer.
I saw two roaches in the apartment last night. It took me thirty minutes to fall sleep during which I had goosebumps, chills, and all sorts of disturbing mental images. Then I forced myself to think of something that was very pleasant, and I fell asleep almost instantly. Carrie now knows what a big baby I am about roaches. I wasn't able to kill the one in the living room (huge f*cker), but I did get the one in Carrie's room (tiny, lighter-colored one). I'm going to stop writing about it now b/c I just got goosebumps again.
Monday nights are quickly turning into the night the weekends forgot. I took a "sick" day yesterday out of principle (I wasn't even that hungover--just sleepy). I vaguely remember my father telling me at some point that if I haven't taken a sick day in a while, that I should do so, just to remind everyone that every now and then I might be unexpectedly absent from work.
Yes, you're right. I have nothing to write about, and yet I soldier on.
