[It's a very distinctly accented voice which speaks, a bit groggy and not yet fully awake. And yes, Zevran does have the habit of talking to himself every now and then, it alleviates some of the boredom. But he's not yet aware that the brand spanking new rune around his neck is actually recording all of it.]...I do not recall going to sleep here

I don't know if your friends are here, but I can tell you you're in a place called Somarium. No one is really sure how we got here. Do you need any help?

Is that what you spirits call the Fade, then? Hn, odd, but if that is how it is done, then who am I to say otherwise? [The grin in his voice is clearly audible.]

Spirits? I'm not a spirit. My name is Aerith and I'm speaking with you through the Dreamberry...can you see me?

Aerith? What a lovely name, my dear. [Experience has taught the elf it's safer and probably healthier not to disagree with voices one cannot see. Magic, you know.] Alas, I cannot, but your voice seems to be coming from everywhere at once. I would be honored to see you, however; I have no doubt such a lovely voice belongs to an equally lovely lady.

[ Oh, geez. Here we go again. ] Thank you, but you should have a device in your pocket or something maybe? It'll be rectangular with little buttons all over it. It's called a Dreamberry and it's what I'm using to talk to you right now.

Unfortunately, I seem to be missing several things...now...that I look...for them. Oh, dear. This is most unfortunate. [Give him a minute or so; he'll find it.

...this rune is speaking to me. [A chuckle.] Ah, now I know I am dreaming!

[ O HI ] Well, technically, I guess we all might be dreaming. They call Somarium a dream world, but ...well it's a bit confusing. Either way, this isn't your world.

Anyway, that 'rune' is a Dreamberry, like I said, we can use it for communicating with video, voice, text, etcetera.

[Unfortunately, it shifts over to the Dreamberry while he's holding it, which makes him drop the thing with a surprised curse. Hang on a second while the elf makes sure this devilish thing isn't going to eat him alive.]

Ahhhh, now I see what you mean. Quite the marvelous thing, this little contraption. I wonder if it's of dwarfish make...although the thought of Oghren operating one is laughable, at that... Mmm, hello, my dear. Yes, I am quite fine, thank you. And I was correct; you are just as lovely as I envisioned.

Yup, that's a Dreamberry. Pretty nifty if you want to talk to someone one on one, but I take it you don't have things like this back in your world. You'll get the hang of it.

I bet you say that to all the girls that you mistake for disembodied spirits.

Indeed, we do not. We do have magic, however, but I see that this little thing isn't operated by any sort of spell. Most curious...

Oh? I haven't met too many others that use magic, but I'm pretty sure the Dreamberrys run on batteries.
